THE WORLD BEYOND
World and Story
Enter the setting and the conflict at its heart.
World and Story
Precursor dream infrastructure once taught matter to hold imagined futures. Its collapse left regions repeating dreams or leaking nightmares. Communities maintain habitable ground through practices whose technical origins have become obscure. The precursors are gone, but their ruins and nonliving technology remain; dreams can still reshape the paths ahead.
A LANGUAGE OF IMAGES
Symbols and Suits
Discover its symbols and four suits.
Symbols and Suits
Kindlings
Wands
Creative energy, intention, and action. In this world, Kindlings carries the traditional Wands meanings through its own imagery. At the Orchard of Tomorrow, Reality Composer plants one dormant Kindling staff in soil where the precursor engine can repeat only extinct gardens, then deliberately describes a flower she has never seen.
Reveries
Cups
Feeling, connection, and imagination. In this world, Reveries carries the traditional Cups meanings through its own imagery. Genesis Mother places one Reverie vessel at a Hearthward table prepared for Lunamancer's return, choosing to offer welcome without demanding a story of what happened on the coast.
Reckonings
Swords
Thought, conflict, and discernment. In this world, Reckonings carries the traditional Swords meanings through its own imagery. At the Nocturne Engine, Oracle of the Machine discovers that one precursor blade can sever the command making the Hearthward dream the same doomed coronation every night, and chooses to cut the command instead of claiming its authority.
Hearthstones
Pentacles
Material life, care, and sustained work. In this world, Hearthstones carries the traditional Pentacles meanings through its own imagery. Lunamancer finds a dormant Hearthstone that can hold one imagined future in real matter and chooses a dependable kitchen garden instead of a jeweled monument.
